KoA Rules

KoA is an organization that believes through structure and organization, we can improve the satisfaction that each player experiences while gaming. Having fun is priority number one or there is no sense in having a guild. However, the equitable sharing and balancing of guild resources among the mass membership at times requires restraint that you would not otherwise exercise. This is most efficiently and fairly accomplished thanks to the loyalty of our membership and the hard and often unacknowleged work of a select few leaders. We want each player to enjoy the game, our guild, and each other's friendship in their own way. To ensure that everyone has equal opportunity and to ensure the prosperity of the guild so that it may continue to offer its members these services, certain rules must be adhered to. We will try to keep them at a minimum.

The following have been born of careful consideration from diverse philosophies and years of gaming experience. Please afford them their due respect. Though each gaming chapter will have a more specific ruleset for its members, the following supercede all else and apply to all KoA Members regardless of their gaming Chapter:

  • High Council(HC) - KoA has existed for over 10 years. Our HC members are carefully chosen as players who exercise good judgement, fairness, and loyalty to KoA. They work hard and usually for little to no compensation despite the fact that their efforts are a large part of what makes everyone's gaming experience better. This is one of the few times we demand rather than request from our membership. Show them their due respect, even when you disagree. If you have an issue with an HC member or their requests, take it up at a later time with the Chapter Leader.

  • Communication - the third party media such as our forums and Teamspeak are cost-laden services that we offer to our membership free of charge. They greatly enhance relationships and our efficacy ingame. We strongly encourage everyone to participate on our forums and Teamspeak channel. At least passive use (regular reading) of our forums is required. Passive use of voice programs (listening) is also mandatory when a member chooses to engage in planned PvP or Raids with KoA.

  • *** Do not be surprised if members, particularly HC who get flooded with messages at times, do not respond to text chat ingame. It often gets missed and we recommend posting on forums or speaking in Teamspeak ***
  • Integrity - Each KoA member is a reflection of the history and efforts of people numbering in the thousands over many years. We expect all members to behave with a certain semblance of integrity in their interactions with other gamers.

  • Change - This page will change over time as our guild and games evolve. Check back frequently.
